Celebrate Menopause Awareness Month with us

It'll be Menopause Awareness Month in October, and 18 October is World Menopause Day. This year’s theme is ‘lifestyle medicine’. Learn more here. Both are an opportunity to ‘raise awareness of the menopause and the support options available for improving health and well being’.
Menopause is when periods stop due to hormonal changes. It affects anyone who has periods. Symptoms vary but may be physical, such as hot flushes, or impact mental health, such as anxiety. Read more here.
Join us to celebrate Menopause Awareness Month in October. We want to raise awareness and understanding of perimenopause/menopause and provide support for everyone going through it. We’re offering the following two informative sessions full of expert guidance and practical tips. And we'll have further resources to share with you in October and November.
Navigating the Menopause with MS
The Living Well Team are offering a free webinar with Dr Laura Jarvis, British Menopause Society Specialist, who’ll be sharing tips to help with managing menopause symptoms with MS.

Introduction to Menopause
You’re invited to our free webinar with Dr Jennifer Cooney, Health Physiologist, Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner and Health Coach, who’ll introduce what menopause is and its impact. Open to all MS Society staff and volunteers, this session is designed not only for those experiencing menopause, but for anyone who would like to better understand it and feel confident supporting others.
